Considering Surrender?

We recognize making the decision to rehome your animal is not an easy decision. Please call us with any information about your situation early. We often advise owners facing medical or behavioral issues with their pets and can also point you to additional resources to help rehome your pet before they need to see the inside of a shelter.

You know your pet better than anyone else and are best suited to evaluating potential adopters. We strongly believe that a pet’s owner is the most capable of finding a pet their new forever home. Posting them on Rescue Me, sharing on your social media accounts and networking with your friends and family. These methods allow a pet to stay in home, and away from the stressful environment of a shelter that can cause or worsen behavioral issues.

If you are having difficulty providing food, we operate a food pantry for our community members.
If you are having behavioral issues with your pet, you should contact a local trainer or veterinarian.
For the safety of staff and all other animals on site we are unable to accept a pet that is medically fragile, ill, or aggressive.
